Americans are obsessed with protein and yet we aren’t eating enough fiber!
According to the U.S. government’s dietary guidelines, you should be eating 14 grams of fiber for every 1,000 calories you take in daily. But only around 9% of women and 3% of men in the U.S. meet the daily fiber requirements.
Read this article a friend shared with me about the importance of eating fiber and I want to pass it on to you readers.
It also mentions adding in some barley to your plant based diet so I shared a favorite mushroom barley soup recipe below.
I have yet to see a protein deficit patient.
The Standard American diet is 97% deficient in fiber!
Fiber keeps you full. While eating these high fiber foods you are also getting adequate grams of low fat clean proteins, vitamins and minerals! Win Win!
With love,
Sheri ♥️
