To change your life, you have to change yourself. To change yourself, you have to change your mindset.
Whether you’re starting over or starting your plant-based lifestyle for the very first time you need to expect and embrace the pain of changing.
The more uncomfortable you feel the better you’re doing at changing your life. Knowing this and expecting this until you’ve developed your habits (about 6 weeks). It takes at least this amount of time before plant-based eating becomes automatic.
100% commitment is where the magic of the plant-based lifestyle happens. You’ll never know how truly delicious foods taste without oil, salt and sugar. After a year your taste buds really do change.
I personally found adopting beliefs that seem slightly out of reach is very powerful. It changes your mindset and therefore how you behave for the better, it let’s you grow.
Focusing on the negative will only bring more negativism. You need to replace it with a positive. So instead of just cutting out all the things that make you feel bad about yourself, you need to start feeling good about yourself.
Focus on the positives like your “ideal weight” or “perfect weight”, being slim, or a smaller clothing size. You cannot focus on “losing weight “. Because you will get more “weight to lose”. This is the law of attraction.
Think in terms of “I AM SLIM”. Feel it as it is right now in this moment and hold onto that feeling. Not “I WILL BE SLIM”
You need to recognize what’s great about you. The truth is that as soon as you start really looking, you’re going to find lots of things that are really great about yourself.
Examine your current beliefs. Are they supporting you? Or are they self limiting beliefs? Identify those possible blocks and turn them around.
Ask yourself what is standing in your way right now?! The key then is to turn those beliefs around by declaring supportive positive affirmations. Believe in the possible.
The past is history. The future is ideas. Realty- that’s the present. All around you, right now!
Visualize where you clearly want to go. Seeing a vision, images describing your end result clearly in your mind’s eye, will create a strong pull toward this end result.
Back it up with feeling. How does it feel to be thin, fit and healthy? Think it, feel it, and most importantly, see it. Get a clear mental picture of it.
Avoid naysayers and people who want to drag you down. You also have to protect your mind against bad information and against information overload.
Keeping your confidence is a big thing. So please stay on the right path, look to improve yourself and to help others along the way. You can’t go wrong.
