Diabetes for Plant Based Diet
Last week while driving a press release blew over my car radio broadcasting the prevalence of type 2 diabetes is rising worldwide, a global epidemic especially in older adults.

Diabetes in patients is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease, the highest rates of macro- and microvascular complications, including myocardial infarction, major lower extremity amputations, end stage renal disease, and visual impairment.

Moreover, diabetics are at an increased risk of medication-related complications, particularly hypoglycemia.

When it comes to diabetes, a healthy diet can not only lower your blood sugar but can also reverse your diagnosis all together.

I know from my own experience of coaching for years clients who change their diet and lifestyle, by eating a plant-based diet and exercise, are effective tools for type 2 diabetes prevention and management.

Plant-based diets are eating patterns that emphasize legumes, whole grains, vegetables, fruits, nuts, and seeds and discourage most or all animal products.

My clients come off medication after the 20-week protocol, which is a personalized whole-food plant-based diet plan.

The answer is YES!!!! A plant-based diet for the prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes!

Food is good medicine.
