Eating less is more

Why eating Less is More

Why eating less is more.

Many of us are experimenting with intermittent fasting and feeling better.

There is a strong correlation of eating a whole food plantbased diet no oils and craving less food.

So when you put intermittent fasting together with a whole food plantbased diet no oils, we are double dipping into the health benefits of eating less.

It’s rather easy to do an intermittent fast on a whole food plantbased diet and let me tell you why.

When you go longer than 4-5 hours without eating and push it back to 12-18 hours for example, your body takes a rest from metabolizing. Research shows intermittent fasting offers a variety of health benefits.

As a plantbased eater, when it is your feeding time it is a highly nutritional choice.

When we eat fruits, vegetables, legumes, whole grains, herbs, nuts, seeds, spices, sweets, to feed our bodies when we are hungry our healthspan increases.

It’s a win win!

As we practice intermittent fasting we learn to be more in touch with our hunger cues.

Add moderate exercise with intermittent fasting and a plantbased diet to create a healthier lifestyle.

Intermittent fasting is not for everyone and one should not feel they have to participate.

In fact if you have a binging disorder I do not recommend intermittent fasting.

If you need support with either intermittent fasting and or transitioning to a plantbased diet schedule a complimentary consultation.
