The first week of September

Sweet-September

Today is the first week of September. Already we have gotten a taste of what fall has ahead of us. Here in Northern Arkansas, the days have been cooler than any day we have had this summer. Though I doubt we have seen the last of the warm days of summer, it has become very clear that the days and weeks of summer are drawing to a close.

Sweeping the leaves that fall on my back porch, I have been reminded that this is a pivotal point in the rotation of the year. September is a time of transition in so many varying ways.

This is when we get back to routines with school, daily life, work, and more. It is the calm before the final parts of the year and a season of holidays. I find that September is a great month to set very clear intentions for the rest of your year and to make adjustments in parts of ourselves that maybe have gotten off track especially with the craziness of this past year.

We begin this month knowing we have exactly 12 weeks before Thanksgiving. An important 12 weeks we can do a lot with whether it be setting new habits, eating better, working on personal projects, etc. 12 weeks can change so much in your world if we are purposeful with it.
